About Trek: – Rajgad is a Hill region fort situated in the Pune . Formerly known as Murumbdev, the fort was the first capital of the Maratha Empire under the rule of Chhatrapati Shivaji. The fort has stood witness to many significant historic events including the birth of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s son Rajaram I, the death of Shivaji’s wife Saibai, the return of Shivaji from Agra, the burial of Afzal Khan‘s head in the Mahadarwaja walls of Balle Killa, the strict words of Sonopant Dabir to Shivaji. Rajgad, is one of the biggest and most secure fort the Marathas ever built.

Suggested Itinerary

Time	Day Schedule
07.00 am	Meet and greet at school and depart by bus to Rajgad Fort.
08.15 am	Breakfast Stop.
09.15 am	Proceed towards base in Gunjavne Village.
10.15 am	After briefing start the trek.
12.30 pm	Reach the top and have a historical tour around the fort. Visit Balekilla (Top most part of the fort)
02.00 pm	Start descending to the base village
04.00 pm	Reach base village and proceed towards school. Lunch enroute.
07.30 pm	Reach School
