About Songiri Trek: – Songiri Fort Trek, also known as Palasdhari Fort, offers a captivating journey through the picturesque Sahyadri mountain range. Situated near Palasdhari station on the Karjat – Khopoli railway line, this trek begins at the quaint village of Avalas, a short walk from the station. The trail winds through lush landscapes adorned with waterfalls, vibrant birdlife, and fluttering butterflies, creating a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and herpetologists alike. The dense jungle surrounding Songiri Fort provides a challenging yet rewarding ascent, perfect for both seasoned trekkers and first-time hikers seeking local guidance. The trek culminates in breathtaking panoramic views from the summit, offering a serene escape and a glimpse into the rich history of the forts in the region.
List of things to carry: –
Comfortable clothes for activities at the resort (Track Pants and T shirts preferred) • Sport shoes mandatory for trek / adventure activities. • Rain wear • Sun Cap & Sun goggles • Personal Water bottle mandatory • Extra shoes / Crocs / Flip Flops – footwear will get wet during the activities. • Personal towel. • Personal Medicine if any. • Plastic bag to carry wet / used clothes back.
DAY 1
05:00 AM: Report to the trek leaders at Fergusson College Main Gate, FC Road. (https://goo.gl/maps/53XNsyDPwcSVReZW9)
05:05 AM: Board the bus and start the journey
05:30 AM: Pickup from Nasik Phata
05:45 AM: Pickup from Moshi Chowk
08.30 AM: Reach the base village and freshen up. Have Breakfast
09.30 AM: : Start the trek towards Kalu waterfall through Aadrai jungle
12.30 PM: Reach the endpoint of the trek. Enjoy the beautiful view of Kalu waterfall
01:00 PM: Start the return trek to the base village
04:00 PM: Reach back to base village and have lunch
05:00 PM: Start return journey to Pune.
08:00 PM: Reach Pune. (Arrival time is subjective to the traffic and weather conditions)
